Fantastic. Well done. One advantage over segway is that you can jump forwards off it without impaling yourself on the handlebars if it goes wrong or suddenly stops. If ridden at night with some strobing bright luxeon LEDS underneath + maybe a tiny headlamp in the front end and it would look as close to a "hoverboard" as you could possibly get!

I skate a BE40 as well. It rocks! bought mine complete w/ Trcackers, then swapped out the wheels for Bones SPF 55mm. It's getting kind of worn out, and the tail is getting some splits, and I'm getting a crack over the rear wheel well so I'm going to get another one soon. Mr. Edwards is mainly riding his signiture deck on this vid. I have one and it fuckin rocks! Cant do half the stuff he does but im having fun trying. I love that low slung surf style riding, it has a great aesthetic. I think he sets it up with Tracker Trucks (dont knoe what size and i dont know what bushing he uses),but i think the wheels are Gravity 60" 97a but i could be well wrong. Go get one if you can afford one dude.I think you'll like it.

Hey Taka, Sounds like you are looking a pretty big range of boards at the moment, The Apex is a very good all around board but it is much different from the other boards you have mentioned. If you look at our videos you will notice our boards have a very tight turning radius which is really the difference between Original Longboards and the others out there. That is a good thing for control but if you like dancing etc, it can mean that you need to be more precise with your motions.

Hey Tx, It sounds like you could use a bearing / wheel upgrade on that Ed to keep you rolling a bit longer, but the Apex is pretty sweet. It will allow for much deeper carves even on the flats (as will most of our boards) but it also works well on the hills. Another board to consider if you want more carving performance would be the Custom 35. If you have any questions let us know!

Very nice guys. I live in Texas, so there's not that many sloped areas here. I've got an Ed 55, but its not the best for flat areas. I always have to keep getting speed on the Ed too much, so it does allow much carve time before slowing down again. Im kinda wonderin if the Apex would be nice here. Im seeing you guys on flat surfaces, and its lookin pretty dang sweet.

Hey I live in a suburban area (specifically northern va) and I want a multipurpose board, good for sliding, carving, good speed maintenance and acceleration, multi-terrain... Hey Smitty, Flatspotting isn't really a problem on longboard wheels. With traditional shortboard wheels you are talking about wheels that are so slick that in many cases doing a powerslide results in your wheels not spinning at all, but just sliding. That is the start of most flat spots which then build from there. For longboard wheels most of the time your urethane is gripping enough to continue spinning and not flatten out and one specific spot. This does not apply to harder wheels (90a+)

Well you really need to look at the three ways you can stop. #1. Carve A truck that can turn tighter and slide easier will help you control your speed in your turns. Check out Original trucks if this is the case. #2. Slide Buy a pair of slide gloves and google around a little on how to start using them. Sliding with slide gloves does not require a specific type of truck. #3.Footbreak This one should be practiced no matter what type of truck setup you are riding, just remember to start slow

you know, i do like daewon, but there's no contest in rodney versus daewon really. daewon's got some crazy manny combos too, and if you look at what's popular in street skating now with rails and ledges and whatnot, daewon might have him beat. but think about how many of those tricks daewon does that mullen invented. daewon's stuff is really good, but he isn't an innovator like mullen.
